New CTO to Lead Expansion of Company’s Nationwide Datacasting Network

Chantilly, VA – (Dec 4, 2024) – SpectraRep, the leading provider of datacasting solutions (delivery of secure, multicast data over television spectrum and IP networks), has appointed George Molnar as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Molnar brings 25 years of experience in crisis and emergency management technologies. At SpectraRep, he will spearhead the company’s national public alerting network for public safety, and government and commercial communications.

Molnar’s extensive experience and education includes:

  • Senior Director of Technology, WTOP News, Washington, DC where he led technical and operations IT and broadcast activities supporting newsroom and production activities and disaster recovery facilities.
  • Director of Engineering & Management, WARN Project, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), where he led a cross-functional team and multimillion-dollar effort to update the PBS WARN system to comply with new requirements for Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).
  • Emergency Management positions with CyberSafeNV and Clark County School District in Las Vegas where he was actively engaged in initiatives focused on public, business, and school safety.
  • MS, Crisis and Emergency Management, University of Nevada, Las Vegas
